Replacement and fresh install for this apartment in Blacktown.

Before and after photos to show how the original unit had been installed. The apartment is being renovated so we found a few nasties along the way.

The original unit had tiles laid around it without being removed to correctly do the job. On top of that, the drain was never run properly and all the condensation would pool in the untiled area. The water would overflow that area and end up all over the balcony area.

Another a/c company condemned this unit and said it needed to be replaced.

A quick look and we found the compressor capacitor looking like Frankenstein. Simple fix.

Went to start the system and found a bit of a hot joint on the contactor. Also a simple fix.

We had this unit running with no issues in a small amount of time with minimal cost. Despite the age of the unit its not necessary to replace it.

Our clients original ducted system was already installed before they purchased the house. We found it to not be sized correctly to be able to efficiently cool/heat the house.

This split system has been installed in the large formal dining room, where our clients frequently entertain guests but were never able to get the air required to condition the space.

This Daikin unit now efficiently cools/heats the area and the existing ducts have been blocked to force more air to other areas.

Our clients in Jamisontown tasked us with rectifying air flow issues and stuffy rooms.

Another company had not long ago installed new Daikin system, replacing the old existing units. We attended to site to find old fibreglass insulated duct work that was falling apart, no air balancing points, crushed ducts restricting air flow and just no real thought behind the layout.

With a meeting room that is heavily used on a daily basis and only 1 supply outlet that hardly provides cool air, we decided to install a stand alone cassette system.

We reduced air flow to areas that did not require the amount they were getting in order to force more to the areas that did by installing balancing dampers. We also replaced any points where degeneration of existing duct work was severe.

With dramatic improvements all round and a now comfortable meeting room, our clients are happy with the results and so are we.

We’re dog lovers at Air I Am, so when we got the call to fix this dog wash unit how could we say no.

Finding a blown compressor capacitor, it was a simple fix in the end. We also took the time to remove all the fur from the evaporator coil.

Our four legged friends can now be pampered in comfort throughout this summer 😊
